HTC, Dove and Uniqlo have found their place in the the 'Hot Brands' in United States. These brands have made a striking mark in the US this year. According to Canalys, the mobile handset manufacturer, HTC, has sold the highest number of smartphones in America during this third quarter. Research analytics firm Kantar Media pegged HTC's advertisement expenditure at $65 million in 2010 and 2011 HTC has spend around $81 million to date. This shows the aggressive marketing approach HTC has taken this year in US.

Dove and Unilever did not get left behind as their personal care range's global sales surpassed $2 billion. The Japanese apparel chain, Uniqlo, got promoted to the 'Hot Brands' list due to its recent opening of two major stores in New York.

The auto marque, Chevrolet, was lauded for the Cruze. Cruze is a "subcompact" four-door vehicle that had sold 200,000 units by October. Its main emphasis was on it's fuel efficiency backed by a core marketing message component. Chevrolet has gained in competition with Toyota Corolla and Honda Civic.
